About Our Pastor

Overseer Kenneth L. Dawkins, Jr. was born in Shelby, North Carolina to Deaconess Sebrina Dawkins and Mr. Kenneth (Brenda) Dawkins Sr. He is a 2002 graduate of Paul M. Dorman High School. He furthered his education at Benedict College in Columbia, SC and in 2007 he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.

Overseer Dawkins accepted the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at an early age. It was obvious to all that this young man was uniquely gifted by God and destined to do great work in the Kingdom. At the age of 9 years old, he was the choir director of Spartanburg Joint Fellowship Mass Choir under the leadership of his mother. At a young age, Overseer Dawkins was a member of New Bethel Fire Baptized Holiness (FBH) Church of God of the Americas. Overseer Dawkins became a member of United  Temple of Praise Deliverance Church in June 1995 under the tutelage of the late Bishop Raynard R. Sumpter, Sr. He has served in many leadership capacities as a Deacon, musician, pastor’s armor bearer, member of various committees, choir director. On March 28, 2004, Elder Dawkins accepted his calling into the ministry. He preached his initial sermon on September 5, 2004 entitled “Worry No More” and was licensed as a minister of the gospel. On October 2, 2009, he was ordained and elevated as an Elder in the Lord’s church. On July 24, 2011, Overseer Dawkins served as the Assistant Pastor of United Temple of Praise Deliverance Church. On April, 2013, Overseer Dawkins was installed as the Pastor of United Temple of Praise Deliverance Church of Spartanburg. He was elevated and installed as Overseer and 1st Assistant to Presiding Prelate of United Temple of Praise Deliverance Churches, Inc. on December 3, 2018.

Overseer Dawkins currently serves as the 1st Assistant to the Presiding Prelate of the United Temple Praise Deliverance Churches, Inc. under the leadership of Bishop Michael J. Young. He is also the Executive Administrator of Living Waters Deliverance Center Evangelistic Crusade under the leadership of Apostles Alvin and Vivian Bostic. March 2015, Overseer Dawkins was appointed as Secretary General of the Promised Land Ministries, 3^rd Provincial Metropolis of Holy Communion of Churches (HCOC) under the former leadership of Archbishop Leonard L. Gibbs, Jr. He is also the General Secretary of the Unified Churches International Inc., under the leadership of Chief Apostle Anthony P. Johnson, I. He is the Administrator of J Mac Music, LLC under the leadership of Joshua McDowell. He is on the Executive Board of Future Leaders of America, Inc. and treasurer of the Board of Directors for The Zone under the leadership of Elder Treca DeShields. 

Overseer Dawkins’ favorite motto is “If you worry, why pray? If pray, why worry?” His favorite scripture is “Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee: he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” Deuteronomy 31:6 Overseer Dawkins attributes his love and compassion for souls through the power of the Holy Ghost. Overseer Dawkins continues to walk in the truth of God in humility and integrity so that his life would be an example.
